Capsize

In Capsize, play as a wooden vessel fending for itself in ferocious seas. It's up to you to explore procedurally generated environments, battle vicious monsters and bosses, and collect upgrades and weapons to improve your boat. Survive for as long as you can, but watch out, for the longer you live, the stronger those who lurk in the sea get.

Controls: Mouse0 to shoot, W/S to Accelerate/Decelerate, A/D to turn, B to brake, UpArrow/DownArrow to switch weapons, LeftArrow/RightArrow to switch items, R to repair, LShift to boost, C to drift, Q to use item, ESC to pause, M to toggle minimap visibility

I worked on this game from about December 2022 to February 2024 and grew to hate it around May of 2023, but I forced myself to keep working on it. I wish I had dropped it right then, but still, the work I did do on it and the knowledge I gained as a result of it has proved indispensable.
